Ali and Human Rights

From the perspective of Arabic literature and commentary of qur’an

When the Quraish troops succeded in Uhud to make the muslim fall into disarray there were not many like Ali who remained with the prophet to protect him. It was only Ali who brought them back into precedence in that war.

Even when Ali was injured he stood up for Muhammad and it didn’t make him slack. The voice of Jibril heard from the terrain of Uhud said that “ there is no hero like Ali, and there is no hilt like Dzul Fiqar.”

In other times, from the corner of Masjid, he was habitually crying infront of his God with exuding tears saying, “ O.. my lord Allah, it is only you whom I ask for the consolation, and only you can assure for the people who stand up for you. You can see from the bottom of their secrets of heart, they need your refuge. If they are sad, You are the only one who can console them, if they are in tribulation, it is only You who can protect. They really come to You knowing that what all happenes to them is from Your hand.

Imam Ali is the gift for the human civilization. He is not only the man of his century and son of his nation or religion but of every century, son of past and future and son of all nations and religions

In Arabic literature, his collection known as Spark of Eloquence composed of speech, letters and religious advices, Imam Ali has given most attention to the issues of tauhid, religious services, character, morality, social themes etc., which are connected to the individual and general and the political relations between the arbiter and citizenry and also the issues of justice and human rights. One of the commentator of Nahjul Balaghah, named Syeikh Muhammad Abduh says, “In the Arabian community, they believed that Ali has the most right statement, is the most fluent person in speech and has the deepest meaning in his mind of Qur’an and Hadist. From his sayings we can see the miracle, some times it can bring a person into the supernatural world or to the nuances of the world itself. The bravery and his firmness have been crystallized in his blood, no one can be stronger then him in mind."
